Waikele Community Park meetup

We're returning to our central location for more pug fun & a potluck.

Reminders: This is a city and co. park, so officially, no animals are allowed, but I live in this neighborhood and we’ve been coming here for yrs without a problem, so I ask that you respect a few “rules” to help us maintain this location.

Restrooms & a water fountain are at the rec center. Bring water & bowl for your pets.

No dogs in heat or unsocialized ones. Dogs are off-leash here, but if any dogs, especially unneutered ones are aggressive or humping alot, they will be asked to be put on-leash.   We want everyone to be able to relax and not worry about any altercations.  It’s very rare, but it does happen.

No dog or human treats and no feeding them from your plate since some are allergic, on special diets or this may cause food aggression-we all know how pugs love to eat!

All food and personal items need to go onto tables since the boys pee on everything on the ground (including some people!). There is no place to sit and the grass is usually wet, so  bring your own chairs.

$1/person, including keiki will be collected, this fee goes toward our monthly meetup dues.

Potluck - let me know what you can bring when you rsvp-pupu, main dish, side dish, salad or dessert-please limit desserts, we usually have way too many and they are thrown out. Bring your own drinks.  Paper products, trash bags, utensils are provided.

Please let me know if you can bring a table.

See you then!

Aloha, Sarah  C[masked]

Sorry, we can't make it. My Mother has been very generous in sharing her yucky germs :(
    Have extra fun for us.

Wish I could join, but have family visiting that weekend! You all have a great time!

I didn't realize that this meet up is on Sunday morning. There probably won't be a big turn out due to its a church morning. I hope that doesn't hold a lot of puggies back from coming to the picnic.

We alternate Saturdays and Sundays every couple of months because some members work Saturdays. Hope you can make it.

Went to Petco today and the Humane Society had some dogs there looking for homes. I talked to them and they said they had a Pug and a part Pug looking for homes.

Yes they have a 6 yr old pug female and a puggle, which is beagle and pug mix. It's been all over my FB pages that I belong to. Hopefully some nice person will adopt them.

Sophie, my dog sitter and I plan to attend and look forward to a "puggalitious" day. Sophie is now 1 yr, 8 mo and still has energy to burn.

To bad you couldn't adopt a pug tonight. There's a 3 year old in need of a furever home. Sarah and Steve have him.

My husband and I were wondering about bringing our grill and maybe grilling burgers for everybody! Is that ok? And would the park allow it?

I would think it would be ok with the park. I have seen groups cooking there I'm pretty sure. I think it would be fun.
