Why mess with a good thing? We had so much fun in Feb, we'll do the same for March, only on a Sunday so those that seem to always have Sat plans can attend. And remember, it's OK to come late, to stroll in and visit and leave, no pressure, we're always happy to see our pug friends, even if it's for a short visit.
Just a few reminders to keep our meetups fun and safe:
This is a city and co. park, so officially, no animals are allowed, but I live in this neighborhood and we’ve been coming here for yrs without a problem, so I ask that you respect a few “rules” to help us maintain this location.
Restrooms & a water fountain are at the rec center. Bring water & bowl for your pets.
No dogs in heat or unsocialized ones. Dogs are off-leash here, but if any dogs, especially unneutered ones are aggressive or humping alot, they will be asked to be put on-leash. We want everyone to be able to relax and not worry about any altercations. It’s very rare, but it does happen.
No dog or human treats and no feeding them from your plate since some are allergic, on special diets or this may cause food aggression-we all know how pugs love to eat!
All food and personal items need to go onto tables since the boys pee on everything on the ground (including some people!). There is no place to sit and the grass is usually wet, so please bring your own chairs.
$1/person, including keiki (not per family as in the past-meetup website fees have increased and Dawn, our organizer, has been covering these expenses at her own expense) will be collected.
Potluck - let me know what you can bring when you rsvp-pupu, main dish, side dish, salad or dessert-please limit desserts, we usually have way too many and they are thrown out. Bring your own drinks. Paper products, trash bags, utensils are provided.
I need extra tables please-let me know if you can help.
See you then!
Aloha, Pat C[masked]
