Mary [the Group Organizer] and I started with Peggy, and in Feb 2006 adopted Lilly, a 3 year-old rescue. Peggy suffered from PDE and died in 2006. Now Lilly is our #1 puppy. In Sep 2007 Lilly was joined by George, a handsome 16 month old pug.

Great group! Growing all the time! The pugs really enjoy being together. It's a pretty laid back group, just bring your pug to run around and meet other pugs, and talk about items of interest to dog owners.

Hi Bill thank you for the message! I appreciate the warm welcome! I look forward to the next meet up and will e-mail if I have questions! I am sorry about Peggy too! My Kyla became ill suddenly and ended up having intestinal cancer that could not be treated. That was in December and I still miss her everyday. Little Harlow is a great dog and is blending in nicely with our family. She is currently licking the keyboard. :) Looking foward to meeting y'all! :)
Hi Bill! Oh my goodness, congratulations
to you and Mary!! That's wonderful!! I hope that your grandchild is a happy and healthy baby! That is the best reason I could ever imagine for not going to the dog park! LOL It was not a problem at all driving to Marietta. We actually were glad that we made it because we had been hoping to meet someone there, and we finally did. We were sorry to not meet the dogs and dog parents in the group, of course, but we'll be back:) Thank you so much! Jill
Hi Bill: My husband, Audie, and I arrived late at the meetup this past Saturday (Feb 11), and everyone was already gone. We were not sure if it was due to the bitter cold, or if the meetup only lasts one hour? We live in Athens, 90 minute drive from the park. In the future, we will leave earlier, but it would be great to find out what the usual time frame is (start/end times), in case we are running late. We are excited about the group!
Thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure yet whether I'll be able to make the meet up on the 14th. I might have to work but am still waiting to find out for sure. If I don't have to work (and if it's not below freezing), I'll plan to come. I look forward to meeting you.
Hello, I was wondering, I can't meet at that time...are there other meetups, later in the days ever? Or, are there smaller groups that meet in the late afternoon/eveni
ng? I'd like to have some playdates with my pug Winnie, she's very active, 9 lbs., very friendly. I'm fine with meeting up with just one other pug or two, if anyone would be interested, and could meet around 6 pm, any Sun day. thru Thursday. This is my first pug!
Thank you, Bill! We are looking forward to future meetups. Tinkie & George love it! I know of a sweet pug named Otis,1 yr old, being fostered in Al. He is adorable & healthy & needs a furever home. May I send you his info to post to the group? In April, we found our Georgie, a puppy mill pup, the same day I learned of Otis thru another rescue, and I want to help him out if possible. We have 7 dogs total, 4 of which are rescues, so there is no room at the Huff Inn. Many thanks, Paige
Hello Bill and thanks. Me and the kids will probly not be able to join the group for a gathering till Aug sadly though. Penny my little girl went in to heat for the first time so we will most likely miss July's. I dont want to bring her and have complications.
Thanks so much for the welcome, I can't believe that I never knew you existed when Champ was living but now that he's gone I found the group. I really want to find another male pug so if you hear of any puppies keep me in mind.
Hey Bill, thanks for the welcome! Looking forward to meeting the group.
Hello Bill! Thank you for the welcome! We are going to try and come but I just found out yesterday that I h e to work Saturday so if I can get my husband up early enough we will come join the fun for a little while!! It's a pleasure to be part if your group!
