I got some antibiotics last time when I was at the vet that take Care of baby dogs eyes and stopped her from itching... But the lady wanted to do an eye duck test And I thought she was just trying to get more money out of me. I have had pugs all my life and have never had anything come out of their eyes till I moved up here and just thought it was allergies...

I've never heard of Blink.  We give our Pug, Lily, a drop of Tacrolimus in each eye twice a day for dry eye.  It's quite pricey but I'm certainly willing to continue her dosages b/c it really does the trick.  I used to mix up Cyclosporine until it became unavailable from my vet.  I understand that it can be gotten from the pet med people but I hesitate to fool around w/her eyes.  Anyone else have any input about this?  I forgot her eye meds on a weekend trip & the results were awful. Called my vet who never mentioned Blink but suggested I try some other (human) over-the-counter eye products till I got back home & nothing worked.

This I so true on our last trip to the vet they did a tear production test because my pug had an excessive amount of "eye goup". She told me that an inexpensive way to prevent this is use blink eye drops twice a day. So far I have seen a difference already.

Just want to say to all pug lovers to make sure and get their pugs eye tear production checked. my pug just had corneal surgery because no one ever did this simple test . The vet school said they would be happy to do an inservice if we wanted them to .
The surgery was over 2 thousand dollars.
