Happy Hour at The Zig Zag Cafe

The Zig Zag Cafe is a classic cocktail bar and restaurant located on the Pike Street Hill Climb behind Pike Place Market . It is an unpretentious place with an eclectic crowd of old and youn g whose common desire is good food, good drink, and good company shared.

They have quite a large selection of whiskeys, brandies, tequilas, and rums, and a great number of unusual or difficult-to-find spirits. Their wine list is decent, and they offer three taps of Maritime beers. But the centerpiece of their drinks menu is their award-winning cocktail list.

Their bartender Murray was being recognition as one of America's Top 10 Bartenders , and Zig Zag was also being presented with the awards for Best Drink Selection and Best Classic Cocktail Bar at Tales of the Cocktail .

HOW TO GET THERE:

At the intersection of Pike Street and Pike Place, you'll find a big brass pig. In front of you will be Pike Place Market . To the right of the market you'll see a staircase leading downward. This is the top of the Pike Street Hill Climb.

Take the stairs down. After three short flights you'll see a concrete walkway leading to a pedestrian bridge over Western Avenue. Follow the bridge, and continue down the stairs at the far end of the bridge.

At the bottom of the stairs, turn left and continue down just a little further. The Zig Zag Cafe is about half way down between Western Avenue and Alaskan Way on your right.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
