Hello Fellow Young Professionals, My name is Veratta and I am a young professional within the nonprofit sector, specifically focused on higher education access and service to the local Seattle community. I look forward to connecting!
I serve as the College Persistence Program Supervisor for College Access Now (CAN!). CAN is an educational nonprofit "dedicated to making college admission possible for talented, motivated and economically disadvantaged students". The College Persistence program supports the CAN High School Alumni with their persistence throughout their undergraduate education leading to graduation. In addition to my position with College Access Now, I am an graduate student at Seattle University on the last leg of my M.Ed with an emphasis on college level administration (the program is specifically called Student Development Administration). My functional areas of interest/passion within higher education are college access and persistence for first generation, low-income youth, career services, judicial affairs, and off-campus housing.
