This group is for Fredericksburg area residents and dog lovers alike!! I'm starting this group because I am the proud owner of three German Shepherds who love to hike and hangout downtown...or wherever they're allowed :)

As a German Shepherd owner I have dogs who like to move at a fast pace and hike long distances. This group is for all those people with high energy breeds also looking for puppy playmates. Sometimes it can be hard for the big guys at the local dog park when the little pups are around so the idea is to find things to do where the big guys don't have to worry about stepping on the little one's....where they can exercise, socialize...well and we can too!!

I would love to plan several regular local hikes in the Fredericksburg area and also some fabulous mountain trail trips this spring, summer and fall!! Anyone who's interested please let me know and we'll get this show on the road just as soon as the weather permits. I happen to think it won't be long....spring is around the corner :)

      Hi Kelby, when I booked at Douthat last time they required the entire amount up front. If you book online I think they expect payment immediately with a credit card but if you call to book I think you have two weeks to collect the money which is what I did last time. It ended up being...I think $628 or something like that for Beards for 2 nights. If you have ten people it costs about $30 a night per and with 16 it would only cost $20 a night per, plus $10 a night per dog. I might be off...
