“ One dog with her (adult) puppies can have 500 or more puppies. About 60% of puppy mill dogs wind up at the local animal shelter. Twenty-five percent of dogs in animal shelters are pure breed dogs! Besides spaying/neutering laws there has to be laws enacted to shut down puppy mills. One day I hope there will be fewer shelter dogs being euthanized because there simply are not enough good homes! ”

Obiviously she is doing something right in getting so many people to come out for the vigil! Thanks to everyone that came out, even if you didn't stay for the whole time, your contribution has truly helped us. ”

“ I am overwhelmed with the job the Puppy Mill Awareness group ( and Organizer Pam Sordyl) is doing, in presenting to the public, the need for,the well overdo Legislation, not only here in Michigan , but threw out the united states , to Close down All the Puppy Mills, and to Adopt the Homeless, and abused animals, that are in the rescue's and Humane Society's, through the country. ”

“ I am so happy that there are people out there that care, I am so happy the Westland petland is closed. I was happy to see people out in front of the pet store, I wanted to ask how I could help. Glad I found the website. I talk to people about puppy mills and they have never heard of them, I can't believe it, the word needs to get out, becuase if people knew, they would not buy. ”
— Kellee Novess H. on Nov 1, 2010.
“ Everyone is so caring and just a GREAT group of volunteers with great attitudes! We don't consider ourselves heroes at all, I think we are all messengers on a mission to RID the puppymills forever!!!! The true Heroes are all those precious pups who live almost their whole life in misery and pain and enduring horrific conditions at the hands of the humans who run the puppymills. And STILL the lucky few who ever make it out are willing to LET us humans have a second chance to redeem ourselves. God Bless all those pups who we all shed tears for and wish we could save each and everyone of them! __._,_.___ ”

“ To help stop puppymills ”
— animal l. on Jun 21, 2010.
“ I actually worked at Petland for over a year. I wish I knew then what I know now. I just lost my very own Petland puppy mill puppy. His lungs kept collapsing from some unknown, underlying lung condition. There was nothing I could do to save him. He had kennel cough when I brought him home, then the bouts of pancreatitis came. It was a never ending horror story. It's so hard to watch a dog you love like your own child, die. This isn't what people sign on for when they bring home the cute little 4lb "doggie in the window". Unfortuanatly, that's what you get from Petland. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I have. The puppy mills NEED to stop! We need to end this before more innocent lives are lost and ruined. ”
— Katy on May 30, 2010.
“ It's really horrible that this pet store can play on peoples hearts and make a huge profit at the benefit of puppy mill dogs. Anyone with a big heart for dogs and the ability to help shut down these stores really should up and help. ”
— leann on May 18, 2010.
“ Numbers, numbers, numbers. The larger our contingency, the more effective we can be to tell our story. A story riddled with deception, greed, and most importantly, sadness. The lives of puppy mill dogs, as we all know is the story that must be told repeatedly to the public to the point of outrage. With enough education geared to the public, perhaps this pathetic and unnecessary "tale of woe" and heinous exploitation can be stopped! ”
— Jaynie C. on Apr 26, 2010.
“ This appears to be a well organized group & there can't be enough voices out there to help these innocent animals! I would reccomend joining the group to educate yourself & the public about the horrific conditions these dogs are exposed to. ”
