August Potluck & 5th Year Anniversary Celebration (Shelby Twp)

Join Puppy Mill Awareness for a vegan potluck to celebrate five years of watchdogging and public awareness campaigns throughout Michigan!

It is time to put the protest signs down, pull up the banners and spend some time with our clients for an evening in the park. Grab a leash and your most well behaved canine companion for a potluck-picnic at at Stoney Creek Metro Park.

We will provide lemonade and serving ware. Please mark all non-vegan dishes (anything with animal product products such as dairy, honey, whey, caecine..ect). If you are looking for vegan substitutes or recipes, simply try googling the dish with the word vegan. Many substitute products can be found at Kroger, Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Or just post a comment and we can help.

Maggie and I look forward to celebrating with you again this year.

Bring a folding chair if you like.

Just recently discovered and joined this group, but since I live in Canada, I'll probably never meet most of you. We too have an education/awareness group here in Ottawa, and are working to take puppy mill education to the public mainstream.... We hope to use some of your banner ideas in our upcoming protest, and we would love to have the support of your members on our f/b page.... Thanks for all the great work you have done, and continue to do.

You might want to bring a comfy lawn chair to lounge in after dinner with your dog.

So we don’t’ end up with three potato salads, try posting what you plan to share on this event or our Facebook event. I sent out an email with some ideas on what to bring. Here is a website that might help you find vegan recipes.

Friends, I am bringing something with my new potatoes and corn on the cob (along with stuff to grill) so if you want to throw any stuff on the grill WE ARE GOOD TO GO! My new fosters DiDi and Daisy can't wait to mingle with fellow animal lovers!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
