Let your dog share a few barks on Capitol Hill this year!
Join fellow dog advocates at the Michigan State Capital for a sidewalk parade with your dogs while our legislators wrap up their afternoon session. We are asking lawmakers to pass the Pet Lemon Law (SB 574) and Puppy Protection Act (HB 5230 and 5231, SB 891 and 892) to help prevent puppy mills from establishing themselves in Michigan and to protect families who purchase sick animals from breeders or pet stores.
See our event website.

Signs and banners can not be put in the ground, so we suggest bringing a wagon with signs propped up in it (see example). Please be sure your dog is on a leash and on his or her best behavior. Beverages will not be provided.
Meetup members walking in the parade should RSVP here. Non-members can sign up on our Facebook Event, however RSVPs are not required. Volunteers should RSVP the other Meetup event labeled "VOLUNTEERS"

Restrooms: Public restrooms are located on the ground floor of the Capitol and also on the third floor until 5 p.m.
