Pixels and Pints with CalgaryUX

This month we will join forces with the Calgary UX group, the community of user experience professionals who also meet every other month for the UX Book Club.

If you have anything to do with pixels, this will be the time to have good conversations about how to make them more usable.

The agenda is as always: get a drink, relax and talk shop. Anyone even vaguely interested in graphic design or web development is welcome: designers; coders; analysts; writers; even managers. The party starts at 5:30pm. See you there!

Work ran much later than I thought it would so I didn't make it tonight. There's always next month, right?

Ok then I am in! Can't wait to meet all you awesome professionals and talk shop and just get to know everybody. I am always open to new ideas, processes etc! I already have learned so many new skill sets since graduating back in 2003.
In fact I think most skills I currently use were learned through friends, colleagues , after graduating with my degree in electronic prepress and graphic design. So I am always open to listen and learn, as we all know in any software there are always 10 ways to do any one thing, and no one is right or wrong. Also glad to let anyone else pick my brain I do have almost 5 years in at this point and still going strong!
Cheers All and great job setting up such an awesome thing!

Hey there I am a new-comer to this group! Is it ok if I am a little late to come to my first meetup. I get off at 5pm but must drive my wife home and then make it back downtown. If you don't mind I think I could make it around 6. Don't want to set a bad first impression, however I am very stoked to come! I may be able to arrange it so I arrive earlier but if you guys don't mind if I'm a bit late that would be great, but if you do that is fine too I can come to the next meetup. Looking forward to meeting everyone !!! Any Maritimers in this group?

      Hi David,

Welcome to the group :) There is absolutely no set time for Pixels and Pints so everybody can come and go whenever they want. We will be having some announcements for 10 minutes or so around 6:30 and after 9pm you might be too late for the party but that's about it when it comes to a schedule.
