About OTS

OpenTechSchool is a community initiative of Tech people organising and hosting free, hands-on coding- and tech-related workshops. We started this concept earlier this year in Berlin and have been invited to Stockholm by HyperIsland to coach to their students. As our concept is coming from the RailsGirls initiative, we as well focus on the learner and give them a curriculum to work through by themselves and have coaches on the sidelines, helping out when needed.

Call for Coaches – Workshops in Stockholm this week (Oct 24th-26th @ Hyper Island, Oct 27th @ Omnicloud HQ)

So this week we are giving a workshop about Javascript on Wednesday and host two 25-people workshops on Python on Thursday, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. For those, as well as for the Friday morning hacking session with the students and the public Python workshop we'll be hosting on Saturday afternoon, we are looking for more python coaches help us spread the awesomeness of programming that language. So if you are interested and available, please let us know via the given doodle and come by at HyperIsland (or Omnicloud on Saturday) at said time to help use coach. If you like, HyperIsland would also love to give a tour and introduce you to students and the staff after for everyone interested.
