I have never used python. Any good tutorial site. I am embedded programmer using C\C++.
I have Ethernet to serial gateway from Digi. They are using python for programming the gateway. I know that Python is scripting language, and I do not know why they chose to use it for their board. But I need to develop an application that interfaces serially to a refrigeration controller and get the refrigeration data and send the data to the Digi Cloud.
    Any suggestions will be great

A note on available Python jobs -- an Atlanta company called Internap is building a big team to extend open-source cloud computing infrastructure for their own upcoming cloud offering. Their headquarters are downtown but moving to Dunwoody soon. They may be hiring as many as 20 people over the next year.
