PyAtl: Atlanta Python Programmers Message Board › Seeking a Swiss Army Knife - Python, Java, or C/C++, Midtown Atlanta
Looking to hire a Swiss Army Knife (Python Developer/Linux Engineer)
Top Notch Company in Midtown, must have a technical degree, and be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizen, No foreign Ties). Excellent Benefits!
This shop is an all Linux shop (Ubuntu) and this group really prefers candidates with a strong interest in Security or Malware.
The Ideal Scenario would be: Candidate is a Python Developer and really know the Linux environment and has worked with an Open Source Database like MongoDB and Source Control like Git.
This Scenario also works: knows Linux Platform, knows Java and/or C++, Python development, needs to understand the System components. Some days work is 50% python coding, 50% helping in the design/engineering on Linux Platform. Intrigued by Security, websites, Restful API’s, pulling large data sets,
Other scenarios: Has to Know Linux, some development language, understands large scale databases, someone excited by and intrigued by Security, websites, Restful API’s, and pulling large data sets.
Candidate would be responsible for ongoing feature development of an n-tier Python application. Familiarity with Linux and enterprise architecture patterns is a must as the system encompasses virtualized hosts, message queues, a web presentation layer and a large NoSQL data store running on Ubuntu Server. The system is a large-scale malware analysis platform that provides an anonymous, trusted community for automated analysis and information exchange.
Ideal candidates would be those that have experience in programming and Linux with a general knowledge of database interaction, systems, etc.
We'd prefer to see people with Python, Java, and/or C# experience, but C/C++ or other languages are acceptable depending on other experience.
• Development Language: Python is HUGE plus. But very open to: Java, C, C++,C#, and Must want to learn Python
• Linux- MUST have worked in a Linux Platform environment
• Database: MongoDB or open to any other opensource Database
• Job Summary: Not just sit down and code but here’s a system we need to build. How would you go about building that?
Please reach out if you are interested in this or other opportunities I may have. I specilaize in placing Java/Web/Mobile Developers here in Atlanta.
