Come in on the ground floor of a new team and project to build a high performance, scalable back-end system to manage and serve video game content to your TV. We're gathering a small, sharp and fast team, with every member a significant contributor. You'll be responsible for full lifecycle development. The system will include B2B back-end integration, game and digital content management, community features, e-commerce capabilities and features to support new game experiences for millions of customers around the globe.

We're looking for a few strong, well-rounded software engineers skilled in OO design and implementation, with significant back-end experience in large-scale, distributed systems. Our system will be written in Python so candidates with production-grade Python experience are preferred. But we would also consider candidates who have the server-side skill-set using another primary language such as Java, and are excited about the opportunity to make a change.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and develop our game content management system, including responsibility for both framework and features
  • Coordinate well in a small, agile team environment with the ability to work independently on significant pieces of functionality


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5 + years of software development experience, including work on real-time web applications with significant server-side components
  • Strong Python experience preferred an/or strong Java server-side experience with a desire to move to Python
  • Experience with large-scale, distributed, 24x7 systems.
  • Experience with cloud computing is a plus
  • Experience with object oriented design and development
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience with SQL and database modeling
  • Experience with web services (REST or SOAP)
  • Experience with MVC design and development, and with web programming frameworks
  • Experience with B2B integrations (preferred)
  • Ability to work on tasks independently
  • Full lifecycle experience
  • College diploma or equivalent experience plus 3+ years of industry experience
