Hi data enthusiasts!

I'm writing to you on behalf of Senzari, who has partnered with LAB Miami to bring Dr. Marko Rodriguez, one of the world's leading experts in graph computing, to our city on Monday, July 29th. Graph computing--modeling a domain as a graph and traversing that graph to solve problems--is an advanced subset of mathematics and computer science that has seen its popularity rise in recent years, due in large part to this being the era of big data.

Dr. Rodriguez co-created several widely used graph framework technologies, including Titan and Faunus. Titan is a scalable graph database optimized for storing and querying graphs containing hundreds of billions of vertices and edges distributed across a multi-machine cluster. Faunus is a Hadoop-based, breadth-first graph analytics engine for analyzing graphs represented across a multi-machine cluster.
At the event Dr. Rodriguez will walk his audience through the graph space, ending the talk with a few real world examples. If you are ever curious, and happen to have an extra hour on your hands, I highly recommend this lecture given by Dr. Rodriguez, which is similar to what will be discussed at our Miami event. I am enclosing the event's agenda below:

MONDAY, JULY 29th 2013
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM - Solving Real World Problems with Graphs
10:30 AM - 11:00 AM - Break
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Deep Dive into Graph Technologies
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Lunch (provided)
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Workshop - Hands-On w/ Your Data (BYOD: Bring Your Own Data)
