For those wanting to set Linux X11 screen scaling this Gist should help. Note, it used to be that X11 in Ubuntu 12.04 was busted (but might not be anymore)

Interesting. Verified still present. Maybe there's a different command that handles mouse-screen scaling? If so, would just need to add that to the script....

There is a --panning parameter that can be added but I've not played with it. It appears most netbook users are using a PPA with a custom patched X11.org server ... but then you have to deal with it not being in sync with Canonical's security updates.

I'm going to keep rolling with my 12.04LTS workstation and 10.04LTS netbook. When 14.04LTS is released, it should be fixed by then. If I hear it's fixed before then, I might update my netbook at that time. It's just a netbook afterall.

    Hello,

I just joined the group and am very new to programming. Actually I have only been learning for a month or so. I registered to attend but would it be better for me to wait until there is another beginners workshop?

Also where does this take place?

Hi, and welcome... the Hackathons are pretty informal, and a great way to see what other people are doing, get questions answered, etc. By all means, come on over.

Oops, hit the wrong button... Anyway, it's just south of 18th and Cherry, west side of the street.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
