PyCon 2014 videos are all online. I recommend scrolling through the video list on the PyCon Talk Schedule page and skimming the descriptions to see whether the talk is for you. Then find the video on the pyvideo website and watch there or on YouTube:

I am here a early. I don't know where you guys usually sit. So I setup on the street side across from the news papers. I ran an extension cord in case anyone else needs power. I'm in a red shirt.

The majority of participants at this point seem to be doing the "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" course,
This is actually pretty well done. I would encourage any one who is still wondering to focus on that one.
Looking forward to see you all !

Having said that, at the risk of increasing choices I d like to point out this book "Basic Python for Bioinformatics"
It is still a draft and the author encourages comments. You can download it from here :

Might be agood additional read for those of us into biology... :-)

Carol, Thanks for posting info about what others are working on. It gives me ideas on where to take Python.

I just cross posted this on the Blender Community page. I will probably be the only one to come since it was last minute.
