Seven Databases - Brisbane Lunchtime meetup

Craig Aspinall will give a version of a talk he gave at OSDC 2012 based on the book "Seven Databases in Seven Weeks", examining one SQL and six NoSQL databases and the underlying database paradigms (Relational, Key Value, Document, Columnar and Graph stores).

Whilst this may seem a little off topic for this group, it was pointed out at this months NoSQL meetup (where Craig also presented this talk), that typical enterprise Java (and .NET) development teams seem to be "stuck in a rut" using Oracle (or SQL Server) as the de-facto DBMS. Therefore it seems poignant and timely to bring this talk to the JVM group too, and maybe start busting some of those stereotypes!
