An update on the roadmap would be very interesting. Also, anything about the performance boost hotspot might be delivering for scripting languages that sit on the JVM

Hi All

We don't have a topic for the lunchtime meeting on 28th May. I was going to do lightning talks, but was wondering if people would instead be interested in an update from me on the Java roadmap that I have learnt a fair bit about this week at the APOUC meeting in Shanghai? Some of the stuff Oracle are doing around embedded is really interesting and also some cloud announcements coming soon that might be interesting to developers.

Note: they were talking about right up to Java 12 yesterday (and that's 8,9,10,11,12 - not skipping version numbers here!)
