Great event and very inspiring cases that were presented on the state of technology that is pushing society forward - for the better. Can't wait for the #QSAMS event next year.

Nice new inspiration, cases and devices, missed some mind provoking talks though, and it was unfortunate that things ran late, which is why I had to leave during the last presentation

It would be great if any material used in the meeting is shared with us! My focus is on making sense of the different elements being tracked on health & fitness! Have a great meeting!

What tools are you using for monitoring sleep? I am using my Fitbit Ultra now but I am curious about the Zeo. Any other alternatives?

    Hello,

I'd be interested to hear if anyone in the group that has experience with, and feedback on, use of the 5:2 diet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5:... ) and tracked the diet's impact on IGF-1 levels, fasting blood glucose level, and cholestrol (LDL and HDL), and triglyceride levels.

I will be attending Monday's meetup, so if there is anyone attending who has experience of 5:2 diet I'd be happy to side conversation with them.

    Thanks

I can't find a general forum for the QS group, so here I go. I am looking for a sensor that can measure my heart rate, temperature and sleep cycle and send the data to an android application, and upload it to a website with export possibilities. So I can do my own data analysing. Where can I find such a sensor?

    1 · October 19, 2012

    • Jelle de J.

It's a combination, the data collected after waking up is the most important. HR gives you information about over training, Temperatures gives you ovulation cycles (if you are a female). The sleep cycles gives me a good indication about my recovery.

I currently only use the HR monitor during trainings and the N900 SleepAnalyser application every night (for more then a year now).

    • Yuri van G.

Temperature can be measured by Scout by Scanadu using head

Read about a research study on the German QS FB Group (pretty active by the way, however most posts are in German). If you want, you can participate in the questionnaire: www.ksos.kit.edu/qs

It would be nice if someone could present about data visualization. Currently i'm using http://open.sen.se/ but for me this is not (yet) working perfectly. Do people have experience with other tools like www.sense-os.nl, singly or fluxstream (or other tools) ?

Hey, we can use our office to have this meetup. Herengracht 266 - we can have up to 15 people in our meeting room with a beamer / big screen -- coffee & beer can also be provided ;)

Hi, I'm new to QS so please beware I will have a bag full of questions for the next meetup. The approach I'm taking is to combine my monthly spending patterns, the time spent on personal/professional projects and my perception of the progress made in each one of these. I have a lot of reading to do, but I already got started with an app (EasyMoney) to track my budget (and tweaked it to track time spent on projects). Any advice or pointers are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
