QS + Data Science Meetup: The Quantified Home

  • November 6, 2013 · 6:30 PM

The November event of the Quantified-Self Meetup will be a special one. We will join forces with the Data Science Meetup and have an evening of presentations and conversations about everything QS and everything data. So, don't miss it.

Edison Thomaz, the founder of QSAtlanta and a PhD student at Georgia Tech in the School of Interactive Computing, will describe state-of-the-art techniques to analyze data from home sensors of all kinds, such as electricity, water, air and so on.

I recently started counting calories on my Samsung Mega, everything I eat and my exercise, lost 8 pounds in 8 days. It was hard to answer the lifestyle survey that I am "sedentary". I was only supposed to lose 1 lb a week on my plan but when I decide to do something... The next 10 lbs might be harder.

If this event is at ATV the address is:
    3423 Piedmont Rd. Atlanta GA
Here are explicit directions to the parking deck:
It's best to park at the top of the parking deck. You'll then be entering on the building 2nd floor and taking the elevator up to the 5th floor. Event space is left out of the elevator.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
