Please describe yourself in three words

In your words, what is Quantified Self?

Quantified Self is a community of people and ideas, who are convinced that use of hard data is the most effective way of advancing, as opposed to wishful thinking and a cheery outlook.

Please describe your work or interests and how they relate to Quantified Self

Librarians and library technology is becoming less involved with the containers of information (e.g. books, CDs) and are evolving towards working directly with the information (data) itself. Data collection, evalutaion, organization and analytics are now part of library work, especially to support evidence-based research.

Are you currently tracking anything? What would you like to learn how to track?

Hi, I am a librarian who is very interested in using data to improve oneself and one's surroundings. Most recently I was Associate Director of McGill Universty Library, responsible for library technology.
