What is your favorite genre of literature? Do you buy your books at the bookstore or online? Do you utilize the library?

I love novels of all kinds, and because these days hold the stress of difficult issues with my aging parents, I'm finding pleasant distraction in some wonderful mystery/crime novels. I also have enjoyed a wide variety of non-fiction. I buy most of my books online (I'm a BN-fan), though I also trade books with friends. I'm not much for the library; I hate to worry about getting the books back ontime.

Tell us about the last (5) books you read that you found worthy of sharing with friends, family, co-workers or fellow passengers on the Metro!

I loved reading and sharing about Verghese's Cutting for Stone, Bojalian's Trans-Sister Radio, Fossum's Don't Look Back, Michaelson's God vs Gay: The Religious Case for Equality, and Barr's The Rope.

Hi. I'm Kathy, an active early-retiree who left teaching to travel, support my aging parents, and spend time with my friends scattered up and down the West Coast. Reading has been a lifetime love of mine, which I love sharing.
