What is your favorite genre of literature? Do you buy your books at the bookstore or online? Do you utilize the library?

Favorite genre: I’m on a political, social commentary non-fiction kick right now. Bookstore or online: I used to be one of those, “I like the feel of a book in my hands, “ sort of person until I realized I could get Kindle on my phone. Just the thought of never getting stuck without something to read made me an ebook fan in a nanosecond. Library: I really like the idea of utilizing the library partly because I like the term utilizing, but alas, I do not. To think I used to spend hours there studying, and now I go maybe once a year.

Tell us about the last (5) books you read that you found worthy of sharing with friends, family, co-workers or fellow passengers on the Metro!

We Believe the Children by Richard Beck is about the now hard to fathom satanic panic of the 80s. Role Models by John Waters tells of the filmmaker’s influences and obsessions. So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed by Jon Ronson delves into the unknown waters of social media’s rash and often unmerited destruction of lives. Lady Parts by Andrea Martin looks back at her storied career. Family of Secrets by Russ Baker examines the Bush Family empire. Fred Stoller discusses his account of being a successful guest star for more than 20 years in Maybe We’ll Have You Back.

I like lesbians, books, & clubs, so this group is a perfect fit.
