Not sure I have a favorite genre. I do use the library. I prefer to buy books from locally-owned bookstores but I sometimes buy online, particularly Kindle editions that I can read on my phone.
For another book club, I recently read "The Windup Girl" by Paulo Bacigalupi and "To Say Nothing of the Dog" by Connie Willis. On my own, I've most recently read "When Things Fall Apart" by Pema Chodron, "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz (re-read), and "Sexual Fluidity" by Lisa Diamond.
I am just getting back into reading after years of mostly not, save a little nonfiction. I am also looking to get back into the women's (wimmin's/womyn's/whatever) community. This would seem to be an ideal group for me.
