'Bronze' - Royal Academy of Arts

  • Nov 9, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This current exhibition at the RA has had highly acclaimed reviews and Friday night is their late night opening (til 10pm).  How about we meet at 7pm, have a wander around the exhibition and then afterwards, if there's time, we can have a critique over a quiet drink in Shepherds Market.

The exhibition is ticket only and I recommend that you purchase in advance as there's often a very long queue to pay on the day.  Prices are £14.00 adults and £13.00 concessions. Having said that, if you pick up a flyer from the London Graphic Centre it allows £2 off the ticket price but you need to show the flyer at the ticket desk to redeem the offer.

"This exhibition brings together outstanding works from the earliest times to the present in a thematic arrangement that is fresh and unique.

With works spanning 5,000 years, no such cross-cultural exhibition on this scale has ever been attempted. The exhibition features over 150 of the finest bronzes from Asia, Africa and Europe and includes important discoveries as well as archaeological excavations. Many of the pieces have never been seen in the UK."

Lets say we'll all meet at 7pm prompt and then if we have 6.30 or 7pm tickets it makes no odds. Also, let me know how you all feel about the tour and I can see if we can book. x

Luigi 7pm is ok as long as everyone is prompt...just suggested 6.30 as figured be less rushed but 7pm tickets are fine. Royal Academy can be flexible providing its not too busy. X

Sorry, why not buying tickets for 7pm? I see they are available.

Hi Lizzie. As this event is time ticketed perhaps we can get tickets for 6.30 to enter at 7? They are pretty flexible about people going in a bit before or after the ticket time. There is also a guided tour that starts @ 7 we could join if people like the idea of that? X
