Okay, looks like we may have quite a crew of people attending this! Sure glad I changed the date. :) So further details. If you come late/get lost or need assistance, my cell phone number is[masked]-9153. Call me Cat if you have a hard time pronouncing my name.
Last year we went to Smiley's, which is now The Butcher & Bullock. It's 911 W. Pender Street (near Burrard). They have a reservation for us at 9pm, so we'll probably head down there from the arena around 8:30ish. I've reserved for 20-25 people, but there will be standing room, etc. if by some weird fluke absolutely everyone shows up.
Let me know if there are any details I'm missing. I will have signs, like I said and will wait at the skate rental area till about 7:15pm. If you're going to show up later than that, you'll have to either call me or track us down. 36 queer folk at a tiny arena might not be too hard to spot.
Okay, see you all Friday!
We did this last year and I remember it being a super good time. I think we hit up a pub afterwards for drinks. Anyhoo, thought it would be nice to keep the tradition going! Hope you all can make it. It was a bit confusing last time, so I think if we can just meet by the skate rentals, I'll wait there with a sign or something equally visible. Also, for people who aren't experienced skaters, this is a great opportunity to try it out or get better. The Robson Square rink is small and not too intimidating. Okay, let me know if you have any questions or if there is info I'm missing here!
