Parent/Child Canoe Trip, 2 days down the Colorado River in Utah
Bring your child to experience the trip of a lifetime!
This portion of the Colorado River is particularly suited for newcomers to river camping and to groups who desire a very laid back pace.
Canoe 20 miles down the Colorado River. This trip is on flat water (no rapids). We will paddle down river, hike, swim, fish or just cool off and camp along the way. On one of the days we will hike to spectacular Corona Arch along the River.
The twisting, looping river winds its way between sheer, colorful sandstone walls, hundreds of feet high. Vast canyon systems and water channels branch in all directions, inviting hiking and exploring, as well as providing excellent camping.
You can leave Orange County when you want. You can make the trip as long or short as you want . Many places to stop and visit on the way there (Zion , Bryce, Grand Canyon , ect .)
Meet in Moab Utah Wed. July 10 (Drive is approx. 12 hours if you do it in one day). We can carpool from Orange County area or you can arrange your own transportation and we will meet in Moab. We will be staying at a house just outside of town with a local fishing pond. We put on the River on Thurs 7/11 and come off the River on Friday 7/12. Leave for home or other places you would like to see on Sun. 7/14
