This was a group sharing meeting that had a lot of focus on buyer psychology. As usual, group members gave useful information and tips. There was a lot of discussion about unusual consumer buying behaviors including how adding choices to a web page actually reduces the abiltiy of the person to make a decision. We also discussed that it is more effective to express benefits in the form of avoiding loss instead of saving money.

Teddy described how life applications are software programs that can be run on computers and mobile devices that help people to plan and organize their personal goals and activities. Life applications are becoming very popular such as those provided by Oprah Winfrey. Because of online coupons, customers seem to not appreciate discounts of 10% to 20%. They expect discounts of 50% like Groupon and Living Social commonly offer. Group members expects the hype over online coupons to decline as there are many unwanted offers (junk coupons) and when customers discover some of their coupons have expired. North Carolina law does not allow gift card to expire. This means that customers may be able to demand that expired coupons be honored by the merchant. Tip-offer a weekly contest drawing for people who are fans of a web page. Even small rewards can dramatically increase the number of fans.

Great discussion with members and good presentation. A little fast on the presentation side of things. Hard to take notes and absorb it all. Probably too demanding, but some reference material that can be reviewed at leisure and that reinforces topic would help a lot. Thanks for the venue to learn and meet folks!!

This was a great meeting that described how Internet Marketing sales funnel systems can manage communication with a customer from a cold lead, to a working lead, to a purchaser, to a client, to a referrer. Teddy provided a list of many tools that could manage parts of the communication process. He referenced Infusionsoft which can integrate all the steps. This includes tagging visitors with information services that they have participated in and redirecting them to different options based on their visiting and engagement history. This is critical to understanding what is working and what needs to be optimized. Teddy gave the examples that if a visitor is not opening emails, then the subject lines need to be modified. If they are not clicking through the emails, the offers and calls to action may need to be changed. It was an excellent meeting for Internet Marketing developers. Possibly a little too advanced for beginners.

A great group to belong to for inside information on SEO and internet marketing in general. Everyone is very accepting of ideas and ready to help brainstorm through roadblocks and generate new ideas. I can't wait for the next one.

One of the best (and longest) meetings we have had. Each member shared a success story and a challenge they have. Group members gave suggestions to solve their challenge. Some (and not all) of the things we covered include online project management (smartsheet.com), micro job sites (www.mechanicalturk.com), anonymizer service, cost per view contextual advertising, zip code affiliate programs, fast paying affiliate networks, effective advertising for contractor services (such as electrical), ways to lower pay per click costs by using paid placement, how to avoid Google penalties for opt-in web pages, amazing web seminar success story (thirty $500 per person web seminar), how to promote web seminars using key bloggers, why it is better to maximize proven conversions instead of finding new marketing options, a $3 million web seminar success (talk to Teddy!), and how web seminars can be converted into high value information products.

awesome....learned a ton about remarketing and the group had several "mastermind" ideas on how I could use remarketing in my retail business. Also learned about a cool new presentation tool called prezi!

This session was led by Ben Thole and Teddy Garcia who covered Remarketing campaigns. Remarkeing is the process of tagging customers with information that can be used at a later time for additional marketing opportunities. The tags can identify characteristics such as the interaction history with a web site. For example, a customer that has viewed a product in a shopping cart but abandoned it may be targeted at a later time for the same or similar type of product or service. They shared some amazing tactics that could be used to make successful Remarketing campaigns which included placing remarketing tagging scripts on other web site portals to build a base of people who have certain types of interests. Because these remarketing scripts (such as from Google) do not require the display of ads or ad clicks, the owners of the sites may be very willing to include the tagging option for a very small fee. We expect to learn more about successful remarketing campaigns at future meetings.

Thank you Teddy for explaining some extra features that Google Analytics provides that I was unaware of but would benefit from using.

Great stuff. I loved how Teddy pulled back the curtain on a real life example showing actual usage of reporting and metrics of campaigns in Analytics . Good timing for me since I'm trying to build out and split test some landing pages from my site . I've only just stuck my toes in analytics reports on my site, have yet to implement website optimizer, so this was perfect for me.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of helping each other. Teddy really knows his stuff. The presentation was very detailed. I would have liked something written from him on his presentation because he went through it very quickly and it was hard to keep up.

Another excellent meeting with great tested Internet marketing solutions. The focus of the meeting was on Automated Web Seminars (webinars). Teddy explained that webinars offer companies extended reach (no geographic boundaries), lower cost, and extremely high conversion rates (10% to 30%). He described how automated webinars can be setup to begin accepting and providing media to seminar participants without the need for manual operation at a future time (scheduled webinar). Visitors may not be aware that the webinar is pre-recorded and this increases the perceived value of the webinar. Some of the tips that Teddy shared dramatically increase the number of people who participate in automated webinars along with tactics on how to convert webinar registrants into paying customers.

Glad I finally had a chance to get from behind the PC and meet some internet marketers. I'm really looking forward to enhancing and refining what I've learned thus far with the level that Teddy is at. I only rated my first attendance 4 stars because I was pretty familiar with most of information in this particular sesion. I've run a few campaigns, content, search and have some very basic analytics knowledge.

This meetup covered what to test and how to measure several types of Internet Marketing programs including SEO, PPC, Email, Social Media, Video Marketing, and others. Teddy gave lots of great examples and there were many surprises including a reduction in click through rates when the word Free is emphasised over key benefits. As usual, Teddy provided lists of tools (ranging from free to professional) and he did several demonstrations of real measurement techniques and processes. The only challenge with this session is it was not possible to write notes fast enough. Lots of great tips that I've already started to use to increase traffic and make more money.

I haven't been to one of Teddy's and Cynthia's meetings that hasn't been like a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding PhD seminar! Good background information and plenty of action ideas. Basically, attending will pay off somewhere down the road, and missing one of these meet-ups will cost you.
