    “ I met a lot of new people. I spoke no portuguese at my first meeting. At my third meeting I was actually able to learn a bunch of words and form some coherent sentences. Plus, Kim has posted a lot of vocabulary and grammar tools in the "Files" section of the website that is amazingly useful. The meetups are fun and encouraging enviroment. There are people like me just learning. There are also native speakers. The best part is that everyone talks to everyone and it's a really fun event. Can't wait for the next one. ”

  • “ Even though I only met 2 ladies from the 5 people who should be there, I enjoyed very much our conversation and found many things in common. I just expected to meet all those 5 people who "confirmed" their presence but never showed up. We stayed till 9;30pm and nobody called the place to inform they would not be coming neither a call from the organizer telling us of any change of plans. (!) ”
