Hi Everyone, When Brian and I met to discuss and schedule the current list of activities, I shared with him the hope that at some point the group would assist with the meetup fee. He asked how much it was, but I honestly couldn't recall. It is automatically deducted from my card twice a year. So today I got my semi-annual notice. The Star Trek Meetup fee is $72 semi-annually, and $144 for the year. To get this cost covered by the group, I have four thoughts on this:
1. A sponsor would be great, if you know of anyone who might be interested in sponsoring all or a portion of the cost, let me know. 2. We can institute a member fee 3. We can try a donation cup at each event 4. We can try an activity fee at each event
We can set it up on Paypall. Let me know if any of these strike your fancy or if you have other suggestions. In the mean time, Quark will be at the picnic (my Quark mug that is) to take donations to cover the shelter cost. Thanks and have a great day!
We started as a group of folks with Star Trek in common, but we have since discovered we are more than Trekkies. We talk about all things Sci-Fi. We get together for many fun and friendly meetings and group events.
