Bunka no Hi | Japanese Culture Day

Saturday, 3 November 2012
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Ackland celebrates Bunka no Hi (Culture Day), a national holiday in Japan that honors culture and the arts. Explore the Museum's exhibitions of Japanese art, take part in a hands-on workshop, and marvel at demonstrations of Japanese arts and crafts. We'll explore haiku, origami, bonsai, and many more artistic pursuits.

Free and open to the public. An all-ages event.

Loved the origami - the haiku was a little too hard - not for beginners

I was planning to be there about 2pm, but it might be closer to 2:30pm since I have an errand I need to do at 1pm.

The Ackland only has one main entrance, so meeting there inside or out would be fine- outside if the weather is pretty might be better because it is less crowded. I would love to come, but was wondering what time we were all going to meet?

I've never been to the Ackland Museum so unfortunately I don't have a recommendation for where we can all meetup as a group. Does anyone else know?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
