Reason for studying Japanese language and culture?

I love the people, and want to understand their culture even more deeply. before I went to Japan I just wanted to understand the subtle, occasional references to Japan's education and business practices, and what was "below the iceberg".

I went on an abroad with other students in the fall to Japan for 8 weeks, studying culture, language, and history. I am interested in learning more and improving my Japanese because I hope to go back and teach English for a few years.

What Andrew is saying about this Meetup Group

Many of the members have been to Japan so there are great experiences to be heard, and some occasional language to practice! If you haven't been to Japan and/or don't know much about Japan, you can learn a lot!
