  • February 11, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • WebAssign

This talk is an introduction to the Elixir language and some basic Functional Programming as well as some intro to the Erlang ecosystem. We will look at the Elixir language syntax, how to use Elixir and the technology of the Erlang community to make concurrent and distributed systems, and will also look at the emerging web ecosystem(Ecto and Dynamo) growing up around Elixir.

Am I the only person got to webassign and found out the event was cancelled? Did I miss any cancellation email/update?

That's totally fine. It's my bad; I guess I missed that email. Will this event be rescheduled? The topic looks very interesting... Chris and Nathan, thanks very much for your responses.

Oh man. I'm sorry to hear that. We did cancel the meetup due to the unpredictability of the weather. Check your spam filter for an email.

Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow! In case you missed group e-mail, Tech Talent South is looking for both part-time and full-time instructors for our code immersion courses beginning in mid-March in the Triangle. The curriculum is primarily Ruby but also HTML/CSS, Javascript, AJAX, etc. Feel free to e-mail Betsy for more info if interested, [masked]
