West End Ruby (don't call it a comeback)

I'm thrilled to announce that Alan Dipert and the good folks at Relevance (http://thinkrelevance.com/) have offered their new office space as a meeting location for West End Ruby. After nearly a year-long hiatus, we'll launch v2.0 on Wednesday June 13 at 6:30 pm.

Our first meeting will be a Hack Night. As usual, Ruby and Rails newbs are encouraged to come out. We hope to continue the tradition of pairing new Rubyists with more experienced ones to help newcomers get over stumbling blocks and ramp up on best tools and practices. And we always have great discussions.

In July we'll have a (to-be-announced) speaker. Going forward, the plan is to alternate Hack Nights and presentations each month. I encourage those without much presentation experience to get in touch. We're a small-ish, friendly group, and always interested in hearing new voices. Experienced speakers - we're the perfect audience for trying out that conference talk you're refining. Please do get in touch!

I've capped this initial meetup at 20 participants, but we may adjust that for future meetups. RSVP soon if you want a spot. Thanks again to Relevance for providing us with a great location!

This is a great group. I missed their earlier location but I'm glad the group is back with a new spot!

For the new-to-Rails folks we had last night, I forgot to mention this excellent book - railstutorial.org

A lot of fun getting together with local Rubyists and discussing cool stuff they have been working on. It was my first Ruby meetup, and I look forward to attending future meetups.

Hi folks, sorry to back out at the last minute, but something came up. Hopefully, it'll free up a spot for someone! :-)

If you're on the attendees list and for some reason can't make it, please update your status to make a spot for someone on the waitlist. Thanks and see you Wednesday!
