Introduction

Over the years I have transitioned from roads to greenways and now prefer trails. Group runs are just more fun and I'm always looking for a new trail experience.

Where do you jog/run?

Bond Lake is my favorite "quicky" trail run. I like ATT for speed and pace and Umsteads for hills and distance.

About how far and how fast are you going?

My runs are 4 to 10 miles. I'm running at 8:00-10 min. miles depending on the trail, the distance and how much I have in me on a given day.

What are your running goals?

Running really clears the head like nothing else. My primary goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle built around strenuous exercise so I can eat and drink like there is no tomorrow. I broke my shoulder running in the January 2010 and it set me back a year (long story). Now I'm happy to just run injury free. I run one or two races each spring and fall to give me a training goal and to push myself as only racing can.
