Screwed up. Received alert that there was room on trip so I thought that meant active list. I removed from waitlist thinking it would move me up but wrong. Have rejoined and hope to keep place. Seemed like a bit misleading email, why are they sent if there a several in queue?

They are sent out to everyone on the waiting list and the first person to respond and chnge their RSVP gets the spot. While it may seem unfair to those who are in the listing times people join the waiting list but make other plans and never bother to change their RSVP. There is then no way to know for certain if a person who is automatically moved to the going list is actually still going to show up. By making the person sign in and manually change their RSVP we know the person getting the spot still intends to go.

May sound stupid but if we are on waiting list and nobody drops out, does that mean we cannot go? Need to know how to make plans - long drive for us. Thanks.

Unfortunately that is the case. I never want to lead more than ten people in any group and there are others going, signed up through the AMC and not listed here.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
