August Camp in Whistler, British Columbia (Potluck & Slideshow)

AMC’s August Camp is best described as “summer camp for adults.” Each year since 1887, August Camp has set up a base camp in a picturesque location and provided attendees with an opportunity to explore the outdoors via hiking, kayaking and various other outdoor activities. August Camp 2012 was held in Whistler, British Columbia. This area may be best known for its winter time activities but alpine meadows, sprawling glaciers, and indigenous wildlife make it an excellent place to visit year round.

2012 was Phil Baraona’s second year at August Camp and it is safe to say that he is hooked. Come to his presentation to learn more about August Camp and see pictures of the spectacular scenery that provided the backdrop for a fantastic week of hiking in British Columbia this August. After this presentation, perhaps you will want to join us for August Camp 2013 in the Northern Cascades of Washington!
