What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

I've hiked in the Whites, in the Alps, in Washington State, in California. I travel a lot for work and try to hike wherever and whenever possible...I started hiking the NH 48s with some 'focus' just last year; aim to make some notable progress in 2012. Some of my favorite hikes are in France and Switzerland, but I usually love every hike - before, during and after - in some way. I was recently in the Muir Woods and Mount Tamalpais State Park in California; from Stinson Beach, I hiked the Matt Davis trail. Next year: The Dipsea Challenge!

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

At this point, day hikes are best; I like overnight backpack trips, but time is too limited right now.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

I'd like to meet more hike-happy peeps, have great fun, get outside and continue to learn and learn....

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Answer pending ;)

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

Introduction

Still getting used to the 2+ hour drives north before sunrise, but for the love of hiking....no complaints.
