What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

My hiking experience is extensive. In the region, I have hiked all over New England as well as in the Adirondacks. I have hiked and camped in all seasons.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I just returned from thru hiking the Appalachian Trail, and I used to be both a professional mountain guide and professional ski instructor in Alaska.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

To get outside, be safe, and have fun! Sometimes I enjoy pushing myself, but sometimes I just enjoy taking a mellow hike and hanging out.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Annually, I frequently participate in a one day traverse of the Presidentials. On the AT this year, I frequently hiked 20-25 mile days. I've hiked above treeline in the Whites during winter numerous times. I love the King Ravine trail.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??
