I have been hiking for 10+ years. I hike once or twice per month, but also powerwalk about 4 times per week.
Day hikes. Distance is not a problem - but in general I prefer a hike that doesn't involve more than a 2,000 foot elevation gain.
Enjoy being outdoors and getting a good workout.
