Hi! Just moved back to New England after several years in NYC. I like hiking in Blue Hills and the Fells.
I hike mostly locally - Blue Hills, and the Fells - and then two or three times a year I'll go up to Northern NH or Maine to do some hikes.
I like day hikes of moderate difficulty. I want to feel like I've gotten a workout.
I like being outside, getting exercise, and enjoying the quiet.
I hiked what I THINK was Little Haystack in the White Mountains? I don't recall exactly - it was 6 or so years ago- but it was the only hike of the year, I gained over 4k in elevation, and hiked it in sneakers. I couldn't walk for a week after that. It was stupid.
I have trail maps of Blue Hills and the Fells but I've never once hiked there without getting lost. I'm hopeless when it comes to following maps / trail signs. I'm a good organizer, but I wouldn't trust myself to actually lead a group from Point A to Point B (we'd inevitably and unintentionally see Points C - Z along the way).
Toy Soldiers is right up my alley! I've got a friend visiting from out of town that weekend. may suggest it to her. we're checking out the Rumble at TT's April 12. while we're at it, check out the Band Filligar. they are playing TT's in June. I'm hoping to go!
Hi Ms. Do gooder! It was nice meeting you hope to see you at another event soon!
