I hike mostly locally - Blue Hills, and the Fells - and then two or three times a year I'll go up to Northern NH or Maine to do some hikes.
I like day hikes of moderate difficulty. I want to feel like I've gotten a workout.
I like being outside, getting exercise, and enjoying the quiet.
I hiked what I THINK was Little Haystack in the White Mountains? I don't recall exactly - it was 6 or so years ago- but it was the only hike of the year, I gained over 4k in elevation, and hiked it in sneakers. I couldn't walk for a week after that. It was stupid.
I have trail maps of Blue Hills and the Fells but I've never once hiked there without getting lost. I'm hopeless when it comes to following maps / trail signs. I'm a good organizer, but I wouldn't trust myself to actually lead a group from Point A to Point B (we'd inevitably and unintentionally see Points C - Z along the way).
Hi! Just moved back to New England after several years in NYC. I like hiking in Blue Hills and the Fells.
