There is a great opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. This event allows you to give a family a helping hand to build their home. The neighborhood where the house is called is Exeter.

The Habitat schedules groups of up to 25 and the work hours are from 8am- 12noon. We can leave when they break for lunch but you are always welcome to stay until the 4pm if you wish. The house scheduled for Random Acts of Kindness will be in Day 3 of the build so the primary task will be decking!

I would suggest to any volunteers that have basic hand tools, toolbelts and work gloves of your own, to go ahead and bring them along. They have a few extras on-site but not enough to accommodate an entire group.

Please RSVP and I will send you the volunteer kit which has additional information about Habitat, map and directions to the house and a form required by Habitat that needs to be filled.

Habitat has to keep to a time schedule to get a house complete on time due to this they really need people to be there to help complete tasks on hand. Please be sure that you can commit to the date. Thank you.

When are we going to receive the volunteer kit? I have another volunteer project I can attend, but they won't hold my spot much longer.

Of course bring lots of water. You can not bring too many tools. But make sure you label your tools with your name. I've even painted my hammers, toolbelt, etc with pink nailpolish with my name (smile)
