About Sandwiches for SoupMobile: Al McCraw and Dan Garfias are our incredibly fabulous co-organizers. Our goal each week is to make more than 1,500 sandwiches, about 2½ days’ meals. We also bag individual servings of chips and cookies - the SoupMobile gives out more than 600 bags of cookies and 600 snacks bags every day, and individual bags of snacks and cookies are easy to store until they are used.

About the SoupMobile: The SoupMobile was started by David Timothy, aka The SoupMan, who passed out 5,000 peanut butter sandwiches by himself. The SoupMobile has grown every year. The SoupMobile mobile soup kitchen now serves more than 600 meals a day (200,000+ meals a year) to hungry, homeless people in the South Dallas area. Random Acts Sandwiches for SoupMobile supplies more than half of the sandwiches served by the SoupMobile.

This was my first visit. I had a blast and enjoyed everyone there. I'm so impressed with the coordinators and the volunteers who were so friendly and welcoming. I'll definately go back again. I never did find the Dallas Christian Singles group but met lots of great people.

Hi all, we always enjoy volunteering at this event. Today was a little disorganized and there were too many volunteers. I know it is tough to limit the amount of volunteers because then you run the risk of not having enough people. I think there needs to be more organization at each table; there was too much food just flying around and too many of the younger group that didn't treat the situation seriously. Perhaps one or two seasoned volunteers could be assigned to each table to "guide" what goes on? Just a thought. It is a great event and you organizers do a great job. Thank you so much.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
