Everyday The Salvation Army is making an impact and helping the world become a little better by changing one life at a time. We can help by serving meals to the homeless individuals.

We will be serving lunch from 11:00 - 1:15 at the Salvation Army Carr P. Collins Social Service Center (across the street from Parkland Hospital). This location prepares and serves 1200 - 1400 meals daily and houses[masked] individuals in four residential programs: Substance Abuse for Men & Women; Homeless Shelter for Men; Homeless Shelter for Women & Children and Domestic Violence Shelter. For more info about SA, please go to http://www.salvationarmydfw.org/

Please update your RSVP as soon as possible if your plans change. We need to allow time for others to sign up who may be interested.

Kayla you are awesome ! Nothing in life is ever perfect. I thought everything went just fine. No one left hungry and that is what counts. I will definitely be back to serve :)

I just want to thank all the volunteers who came out in the rain to serve today! I understand some people felt today was chaotic and unorganized and a heartfelt apology to those people. Unfortnately some of our days do not run as smoothly as the other days. Factors involve is short staffing at Salvation Army having to double up the groups not allowing us the time to reset tables and regroup which makes a chaotic and unorganized feeling. Shortage of trays/shortage of silverware. Running out of food. Groups overlapping with no down time. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. You guys went with the flow and helped out in any area needed on the spur of the moment! Once again a heartfelt apology for those who did not a positive experience today. But we did it! WE ROCK! We will have better days I assure you! God Bless you ALL!

I am so sorry, but I will not be able to help today. I have been fighting with a horrible headache since last night. If it gets better, I will come.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
