Dear Seagoville Shelter Volunteers,

I am so impressed by the FABULOUS Random Acts Of Kindness Volunteer Meetup DFW people and all of you who saw the need and came out today! You are not afraid of hard work, giving love to those in need or giving your time to others. Everything you do helps the shelter get closer to avoiding euthanizing on Monday by getting more pets adopted. Each clean kennel or crate makes a pet look more adoptable, every opportunity for a pet to spend time with a KIND human being socializes them a little more which makes them more attractive, for each walk you take them on, they learn how to follow on a leash a little better! A high-energy dog who has been cooped up may be calmer after you've walked her making a potential adopter more likely to consider her later that day! Lots of dogs got new homes today because of the WFAA broadcast on Seagoville Shelter last night and because of you, they were prepared to show off the pets in need properly!

Thank you Doris, for spending quiet time with the terribly frightened and neglected collies and please tell the boys we know cleaning may not be exciting, but it was terribly needed!!! Patience, Arminda and Stephanie, you ladies were fantastic with the dogs and gave them a chance to be DOGS - sniffing, walking, playing and learning how to walk on a leash. Dave - THANK YOU for getting a group shot and taking the left behind canine hitchhiker to the adoption day! Carmella and Alyssa - oh boy, you two were the cleaning divas of the day and made an enormous difference in the look and smell of the shelter to make it nicer for the pets AND people!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! AMAZING PEOPLE, great day where you all made a big diffence @ the Seagoville Animal Shelter!

Very sincerely,

Kristana

PS - Please save the date for Seagoville's 24 adopt-a-thon on 10/14 and 10/15! I'll be posting a Meetup for this soon. Also, there is a really fun fundraiser on Wed. at Sushi Axiom off Henderson (E. Dallas), Spin 4 a Cause complete w/drink and sushi specials. Please tell a friend about the shelter and these events and spread the word!
