  • Hello Everyone and Welcome to the Raw Food Group:

NOTE: This location is a fragrance/chemical free environment.

Those wearing fragrance will be politely asked to leave.

There is a membership (yearly fee of $5.00) payable through this site, and there is a $2.00 dollar donation at the door to the host per person the day of the event.

This group is about learning and sampling raw food vegan, organic recipes and therefore, please bring one dish per person with a note containing the ingredients for those with allergies. This is not a fruitarian potluck and the role of fruit in raw food vegan vegetarian diet is very small. Therefore, do not bring fruit. There are many health food stores, and restaurants that you can buy a prepared raw food dish if you are new to raw food and just learning. Please ignore the wait list as there is at least a no show factor of 40%. 1. Please bring your own plate and utensils and wash your own dishes at the end of the event; remember the host are all just volunteers.

    1. No animals products (including dairy).

    2. No wheat, tofu.

    3. Food must not be cooked; raw only and organic.

Contact me via email if you have any question or require some help with your recipe. I would be delighted to assist you or talk to you in general about the raw food lifestyle.

I have noticed over the last while that people are arriving at my events as much a 1 to 2 hours after the event has started. There is a lot of work to do set up and clean up after these events. The start time posted for this event is 6:30 p.m. I therefore, will provide a grace period of 30 minutes for late arrivals.

    Attendance Policy:
I also note that some people actually RSVP with a yes and then do not withdraw the RSVP if not attending. Those who RSVP for events but do not actually attend will receive a strike. After 3 strikes you will unfortunately no longer be welcome at the Yonge and Eglinton Raw Food Potluck. This new policy is to encourage responsibility and respect in regards to the time invested by the host.

We had spectacular ravioli, cheesy pizza, wild edible salad, raw caraway seed bread and crackers, just to name a few.

Hi, I was planning on attending and made collard leaf wraps and raw chocolate mouse cake but unfortunately a chance to try these will have to wait for next time as a family thing came up and I can no longer attend tonight. Hope you will all have a pleasant night and hope to meet you all next time.

    Hi Everyone:

Just a gentle reminder that the "Thanksgiving Raw Food Potluck" at Yonge and Eglinton is coming up this Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Remember to register. The location is a 5 minute walk from the Yonge and Eglinton Subway. For those of you who are driving, street parking and pay parking is available. If any of you need help with recipes please don't hesitate to ask.

I have had some questions with respect to bringing children lately. I love children as I come from a large family myself, and think it is wonderful that parents are exposing young children to such a healthy lifestyle, so early. Congratulations mums and dads! They are most certainly welcome but please know my location is small and as long as they are well behaved and not running around I am fine. I just don't have a large enough place to offer that up at the moment.
Blessings to you all and really looking forward to a great potluck with lots of yummy raw food as always,
