Thanks Carol. I love that water, even my Dr Norman Walker drank it! And he is thw best in my opinion, plus it makes sense, the process is just like rain!

May I ask where you got a stainless steel distiller from?

Thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,

After much research I have also been convinced that distilled water is the best possible water for me.  I love its pure clean taste and wouldn't want to go back to drinking other water.  The small stainless steel distiller I have has a carbon filter in the outflow spout which catches any possible final traces of impurities in the water and I replace the filter every two months.  Virtually no water is wasted and I run it in off peak hours after 7pm or on the weekends.  I think that is a small price to pay for the purity distilled water provides.  Thanks.

I completely agree with you Danny, it is a waste and is completely uncool, environmentally!

I personally like distilled water (even my kefir grains do!) but now I think I need to look into the amount of energy consumed by distilling water!!

The water used by the reverse osmosis that goes down the drain remains in the cycle of evaporation.

The environmentally uncool part is that the wasted water was purified by City of Toronto which uses resources like electricity, labour, chemicals and sewage treatment before it's released into the lake/cycle of evaporation.

I think that for the money, on treated Toronto water, a properly functioning reverse osmosis does a damn fine job of removing a lot crap from my water!

I'm curious about the "wasting" water part, does the water disappear from the earth or does it get put back in the cycle of evaporation, rain, repeat? Unless it disappears, I don't see how it is wasted or environmentally uncool.

Hey Guys!

I've been in the water filter business since 1985.

Being an atheist and skeptic I like to keep it simple.  If there's anything magical, sturctured, spiritual, research from Russia, lots of testimonials, no annual filter replacement and over a few hundred dollars..... I think it's questionable.  Clean water will remove some contaminants from your body but it's not going to change your life!

You need carbon to get chlorine and organics, you need something to get out metals, maybe fluoride too.

Reverse osmosis does all this and removes 0.004mg/litre of minerals from the water.  This is not a significant amount of mineral, however, reverse osmosis does waste about 6 gallons for every gallon of water produced which is not very environmentally cool!   In the early 80's when reverse osmosis was developed for home drinking water, conservation was not an issue.....

There are fiters that remove chlorine, organics, metals and fluoride that don't waste water and are not expensive $140 - $400 installed.

I like to remove contaminants not add or reinvent water!

My filter for water called wholly water ended its 5 yr life span, and the man who was selling it died...ye gads...the people who took over changed it and are charging double

So??? there is so much controversy as to water filters.   Brian Clements has been on distilled water for 20 yrs.
Reverse osmosis is suppose to be bad  as is distilled as it takes minerals out of body

There is a Birkey system???  There is pro and cons for everything.....Who does one listen to???

HELP>....I feel so confused...???  What do I get???Confused smile  Irena
